Two Drug Suspects Resisting Arrest and Attempting to Escape Police in Phuket Arrested

Rawai, Phuket –

Two drug suspects who were trying to escape from police pursuit in Rawai were arrested.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified from a concerned citizen that two drug suspects were driving a motorbike on Wiset Road in Rawai.

Phuket patrol police chased after the suspect’s motorbike following the tip but the motorbike rider refused to pull over or comply with law enforcement instructions. The motorbike rider then crashed into a sedan while attempting to elude police and the suspect and his passenger left the motorbike before running away and jumping onto the back of a random pickup truck.

The suspects were later arrested with the help of multiple police officers, with one suspect identified only as Mr. Tossapon, 32.

Tossapon admitted to police that he had recently used some drugs and will be charged for this and operating a motorbike under the influence of drugs.

The other suspect was named only as Mr. Arthit, 37. He was the motorbike passenger and was found with 8 methamphetamine pills. He is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs while both men face charges of resisting arrest and eluding police.
