UPDATE: Driving Licenses of Two Phuket Taxi Drivers in Viral Fight Suspended for 180 Days

The driving licenses of two taxi drivers in Phuket who were fighting, reportedly over who had jurisdiction over picking up customers at a hotel, have been suspended for 180 days.

The Phuket Land Transport Office Chief Mr. Atcha Buajan told the Phuket Express on Thursday night (April 6th) that he received a viral video clip of two taxi drivers fighting on Patak Road in Karon. One of them was disappointed that the other picked up tourists in front of a hotel, which the upset driver felt was “his territory”.

Now for the update:

The Phuket Land Transport Office Chief Mr. Atcha Buajan told the Phuket Express that the two taxi drivers are identified as Mr. Chayakorn Chaitisuk and Mr. Noppadon Changlek.

Both of their driving licenses have been suspended for 180 days from April 7th to November 2nd, 2023.
