German Tourist Injured After Falling From Waterfall on Samui Island

Samui Island –

A German tourist has sustained injuries after she fell down from a waterfall on the Samui Island.

The Samui District Office Chief Mr. Jirapat Choojan told the Phuket Express that the office was notified on Wednesday (April 5th) that a tourist had injured her ankle after falling from the Na Mueang 2 Waterfall.

Emergency responders and officers took more than 20 minutes on foot to walk to the waterfall before finding the injured tourist. The 38-year-old female German tourist was with her German husband (The Phuket Express is withholding their names for their privacy.). The tourist told rescue workers that she slipped when stepping on a rock and was unable to continue walking.

The tourist was moved on a rescue board from the waterfall before being taken to a local hospital.

The German couple told associated Thai media that they appreciated the quick response and help from officers and rescuers.

There was a similar incident at the same place recently, as seen here: A British tourist has sustained severe injuries after he fell down from a waterfall on the Samui Island.
