More than 90,000 Tourists to Visit Surat Thani Including Samui Island During Songkran Festival

Samui, Surat Thani, News Brief:

More than 67,000 foreign tourists, and 23,000 Thai tourists are expected to visit Surat Thani including Samui Island during the Songkran Festival Period.

The Surat Thani Governor Vichawut Jintoe told the Phuket Express that from April 13th to April 16th the tourism authority is expecting to welcome 91,000 tourists. Of those 23,000 will be Thai tourists while 60,000 will be foreign tourists.

During the Songkran festival Surat Thai including Samui Island will generate about 1.2 Billion baht in tourist revenue, estimates the governor.
