More details have been released for the Songkran water splash celebration with ‘No Alcohol’ event in Phuket Town.

The ‘Songkran No Alcohol Event’ will be held in Phuket Town next month.

A press conference was held on Friday (March 24th) at Limelight Avenue in Phuket Town led by Phuket Vice Governor Danai Sunnantarod, a representative from the Stop Drink Network and others.

Vice Governor Danai told the Phuket Express that the Songkran water splash celebration ‘No Alcohol’ event will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Dibuk Road in front of Limelight Avenue in Phuket Town.

After three years of no Songkran water splash celebrations, this year there will be more than 30,000 people joining in with the even, estimated Danai. The Songkran campaign is for ‘No Alcohol’ which is aimed at decreasing road accidents during the Songkran festival.

There will be concerts from two famous Thai rock bands, Retrospect x Gao Jirayu and SDF with a famous DJ.

Alcohol, Kratom, powder, ice, foam, color dyes , cigarettes, cannabis, drunkenness , going shirtless, high pressure water guns, fighting and weapons will be BANNED at the event.
