French Woman Arrested on Pha-ngan Island for Six Days of Overstay

Pha-ngan Island, Surat Thani –

A 36-year-old French woman was arrested on Pha-ngan Island in Surat Thani for six days of overstaying her legal visa conditions.

Surat Thani Immigration officers told the Phuket Express that this week they arrested, MS. MYRIAM NAIMA BAKHOURY, 36, a French national. She was arrested in front of a resort on Pha-ngan Island.

She is now at six days of overstaying her visa according to police. She was taken to the Koh Pha-ngan Police Station to face overstaying charges and is waiting to be deported.

It is unclear how she was caught.
