Phuket to Hold ‘No Alcohol Songkran’ Event

The ‘Songkran No Alcohol Event’ will be held in Phuket Town next month.

The Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation (PPAO) President Mr. Rewat Areerob told The Phuket Express on Wednesday (March 8th) about the event.

“The Songkran No Alcohol 2023 event will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Dibuk Road in front of Limelight Avenue in Phuket Town.”

“The Songkran campaign is ‘No Alcohol’ which is aimed to decrease road accidents during the Songkran festival. This will be year nine of the ‘Songkran No Alcohol’ event in this area, although Songkran has not run since 2019 due to Covid restrictions. Most participants are aged from 15 to 35 which will be at least 25,000 people,” Mr. Rewat added.
