UPDATE: Phuket Transgender Thief Sold Stolen Gold Items to a Transgender Friend in Pattaya

Patong –

A transgender thief in Patong sold the stolen gold items to a transgender friend in Pattaya.

Our previous story:

A transgender person in Patong was arrested after snatching a gold piece of jewelry from a British tourist.

Now for the update:

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express on Monday (March 6th) that they continued their investigation after arresting a transgender pickpocket for stealing from a transgender tourist. The pickpocket, Jakkree, admitted working together with another transgender in Pattaya to police.

Jakkree sold the stolen gold items to an individual only identified as Kotchakorn before Kotchakorn sold the stolen gold items in the Pattaya area.

Patong Police believe the two operated as thieves and fences targeting foreign tourists in both Pattaya and Patong. Pattaya in particular has had a rash of thefts, especially targeting Indian tourists, over the past few months.

Police in both Patong and Pattaya have vowed to catch all pickpockets and end any thefts against tourists. Tourism is the lifeblood of both cities.
