Driver Arrested after Opening Fire in Parking Building at Phuket Hospital over Parking Dispute – VIDEO

Phuket –

A driver was arrested after he opened fire with a gun inside a car park building of a hospital in Phuket Town. The incident stemmed from an argument over a parking spot.

The Phuket City Police were notified of the incident at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday (March 7th) on the fifth floor of the parking area building of the Vachira Phuket Hospital on Yaowarad Road in Phuket Town. Thai Police arrested a male suspect who opened fire. No injuries were reported.

The suspect, a pickup truck driver identified by police only as Mr. Tanakorn, 31, told police he was about to park his pickup truck in a parking space when he saw that another car was behind his. Tanakorn was having difficulty parking his pickup truck and as a result was slow.

The other unidentified car driver then honked his horn and began arguing verbally about the parking spot with Tanakorn.

After Tanakorn parked his pickup truck, he said he took out his gun and opened fire at the car driver who sped away. An unidentified passenger tried to calm down Tanakorn unsuccessfully.

Tanakorn said he was angry that the other car driver was rude to him and blamed the other driver for causing the incident by starting the argument. He also said he had been suffering from depression since his father died by suicide using the same gun.
