Umbrella Operator Arrested for Encroaching on Beach on Racha Island, Phuket

Racha Island, Chalong –

An umbrella operator was arrested for encroaching on a beach on the Racha Yai Island, south of Phuket.

The Royal Thai Navy told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (March 7th) they inspected the Racha Yai Island in Chalong, south of Phuket for beach encroaching.

One beach operator was found encroaching on Ao Pratok Beach with beach umbrellas. Twenty sets of beach umbrellas were seized. The beach operator was taken to the Chalong Police Station for further legal action.

Specific details of the umbrella operator were not given.
