Rider Dies, Girlfriend Injured after a Motorbike Crash in Thalang

Thalang –

  A rider died while a female passenger, his girlfriend, was injured after a motorbike crash in the Thalang district.

The Thalang Police were notified of the accident on Sunday morning (March 5th) on the side of the Thep Krassattri Road southbound lane in the Thep Krassattri sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Mr. Thanongsak Raiyai, 25, from Krabi, who had already been pronounced dead at the scene. Nearby the rescue teams found the damaged motorbike and a damaged road sign.

His girlfriend, the passenger, Ms. Piyaphon Kittikunnatee, 30, who had sustained non-life threatening injuries and was cognizant told The Phuket Express that her boyfriend lost control of the motorbike before crashing into a road sign. Mr. Thanonsak’s head hit the road sign pole.

However, the Thalang Police are checking CCTV footage nearby to further investigate the exact cause of the accident.
