Phuket –

Phuket is planning to make a shortcut from Kathu to Sri Soonthorn in Thalang to avoid a huge traffic problem in Koh Kaew.

The Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation (PPAO) President Mr. Rewat Areerob told The Phuket Express yesterday (March 2nd) that three famous Phuket families who are Mr. Sanguan Kunwanich, Mr. Kitti Saksritawee, and Mr. Ao Ekwanich are pleased to donate lands in Moo 4 Kathu, Moo 3, and Moo 7 in Sri Soonthorn for public use to make the shortcut road.

The road will be from the Phuket Mining Museum in Kathu to the Bang Neow Dum reservoir in Baan Manik. The road can avoid a huge traffic problem in Koh Kaew during rush hours.
