88 Sea Turtle Eggs Found on Phuket Beach

Phuket –

A total of 88 green turtle eggs have been found on a beach in Thalang.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that tracks of a mother sea turtle was found on a beach in Cherng Talay on Monday (February 27th). The sea turtle nest was found nearby.

In total 88 green turtle eggs were found in the nest. The eggs have been relocated to a safe area nearby due to concern of damage from the weather.

The DMCR believe that in about 55 days the baby sea turtles will hatch.
