More than 2,400 European Tourists from Cruise Ship Arrive on Samui Island Before Heading to Sri Racha

Samui Island, Surat Thani –

A cruise ship arrived on Samui Island with more than 2,400 European passengers that is set to generate at least five million Baht for a one day trip before heading to Sri Racha in Chonburi.

The Samui Public Relation Office told the Phuket Express that yesterday morning (February 25th) at 10:00 A.M. the Mein Schiff 5 cruise ship arrived at Na Thon Pier. In total 2,409 tourists from Europe and 924 ship crew members arrived on the island for the one-day trip.

They visited an elephant camp, temples, beaches, local businesses, and rubber tapping farms. Some people visited Ang Thong Islands nearby.

The one-day trip has generated at least five million baht according to Samui officials. The cruise ship departed from Samui Island at 6:00 P.M. heading to Laem Chabang Pier in Sri Racha.
