Sniffer Beagle Inspects Luggage and Passengers at Phuket Airport

Phuket –

A sniffer beagle inspected luggage and passengers at the Phuket International Airport.

The Phuket International Airport reported yesterday (February 20th) that the ‘sniffer’ Beagle (DLD K-9 UNIT) from the Quarantine and Inspection Canine unit (DLD) sniffed luggage arriving at the airport.

The inspection is to prevent the smuggling of animals and products of animal origin which are prohibited items according to the Animal Epidemic Act B.E.2558 (2015).

However, no suspected luggage was found. The beagle was, however, a hit with tourists and staff.
