Suspect Arrested with 13,000 Methamphetamine Pills at Phuket Checkpoint

A suspect has been arrested with 13,000 methamphetamine pills at Phuket Checkpoint.

The Tha Chatchai Police told the Phuket Express yesterday (February 19th) that on Friday, (February 17th), a suspicious sedan was stopped at the Phuket Checkpoint in the Tha Chatchai sub-district, Thalang. The driver was Mr. Tanapat ‘Ball’ Plodkam, 36 from Phatthalung.

Inside the sedan was found a handmade handgun, 22 bullets, 13,930 methamphetamine pills, 134.85 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 0.327 grams of Ketamine, and 0.552 grams of Ecstasy.

Ball admitted to police that he was hired to pick the drugs up at a road sign on the Southern Seaboard Road (Road No.44) in Phra Sang, Surat Thani and deliver them to a dropoff location in Phuket. Ball was taken to the Than Chatchai Police Station to further legal action.
