A determined Thai man finally met the love of his life in person after traversing a challenging 1200 km on foot. The man on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, proposed to his girlfriend he met on TikTok and her answer was Yes!

Now for our update:
Mr. Suthep “Maew” Lomjit, a Thai man in his 52nd year, hiked a distance of 1,200 km from his hometown in Nakhon Nayok province in central Thailand over the past month to meet his girlfriend in person that he first met online in the Southern province of Satun.
At first glance, the mission definitely seems impossible as the journey will take approximately 16 hours if it is a non-stop drive, while walking will take at least 200 hours, assuming no brakes are taken.
For Suthep, it took a month and more than 10 kg of weight loss to unite with his girlfriend, Mrs. Thanapa “Yu” Kheawon, 56.
The two met in Satun on the most romantic day in Thailand, Valentine’s Day, as promised by the bridegroom.
As said earlier by Thanapa, she had a little surprise for her boyfriend. The online girlfriend had all of her best friends dressed in pink like herself to test if Suthep would be able to tell her apart from others because today was the first day the couple first met in real life.
Not disappointing her, Suthep passed the challenge and managed to identify his girlfriend correctly. Suthep then proposed to Thanapa and after an arduous month-long journey, the bride said “Yes.”
Supporters of the bridegroom packed the scene and gave him a car as a gift for his devotion to proving that “true love can be found on social media.” The challenging road has officially ended and a new journey between the two has begun. We hope they have a happy married life for many years to come.
