UPDATE: Gunman Who Injured Two People on Phuket Bus Found Dead

A gunman who opened fire on a traveling bus in Phuket that injured two people has been found dead in the bus interior.

Two people on a bus in Phuket have sustained injuries after a gunman opened fire while other passengers ran away.

Now for the update:

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that the suspect, who was a bus passenger, opened fire with a gun on other passengers and was found dead on the bus at 11:20 A.M..

Phuket City Police stated the suspect died by suicide. Two people were injured during the incident and were taken to local hospitals while the driver and remaining passengers fled.

Police had tried to negotiate with the suspect for several hours this morning when they thought that the shooter was still alive.

It was unclear when the suspect shot himself to death. Police threw tear gas into the bus before forcefully entering and then finding the deceased gunman.

The identity of the gunman and the motive behind the shocking incident is still unknown.
