Diamond Earring in Phuket Returned to Russian Tourist

A diamond earring has been returned to a Russian tourist after she left it at a hotel in Phuket.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that Ms. Elena Zholobetskaia, 42, Russian, had asked for help from the Samui Tourist Police in Surat Thani.

She told the Samui Tourist Police that she forgot her diamond earring which cost 70,000 baht at a hotel in Maikhao in Thalang, Phuket.

The Samui Tourist Police contacted the Phuket Tourist Police and they went to the hotel. The hotel told the tourist police that a housekeeper found the earring inside the Russian woman’s room. The hotel had already tried to contact the Russian tourist when it was found but failed.

The Phuket Tourist Police contacted the Samui Tourist Police before Ms. Elena was informed. She went back to Phuket from Samui Island yesterday (February 7th) and has had her earring returned.

Ms. Elena was very glad. She said thank you to the housekeeper , the hotel operator, the Samui Tourist Police, and the Phuket Tourist Police for their help.
