UPDATE: Search for Missing German near Phangan Island continues on Day 4

The search for a missing German tourist who reportedly jumped from a ferry near Phangan Island in Surat Thani has continued on Day 4.

The Royal Thai Navy Second Area Command reported to Thai media that they were notified that a male foreign tourist jumped from a ferry heading from Phangan Island at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday (January 31st) to Donsak in Surat Thani.

The search for a missing German tourist who reportedly jumped from a ferry near Phangan Island in Surat Thani has continued.

The Samui Public Relations Office reports that the search by the Royal Thai Navy and rescue workers have continued in the ocean and on land at Thong Sala Beach to Baan Tai Beach and Hua Tean Pier.
Tour boat operators and hotel operators have been informed about Mr. Florian Storz, 35, and that if he is seen to report his location. At this point, rescue teams have not ruled out the possibility that the missing man swam to land nearby.
