Two Bryde’s Whales Sighted near Island in Surat Thani

Surat Thani –

Two Bryde’s whales were spotted in Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park in Surat Thani.

The head of the Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park Mr. Sathit Tantikrittaya told The Phuket Express, “We spotted two Bryde’s whales near Nai Put Island while we were patrolling around the area.”

“We have requested tour boat operators to slow down and try to stay away from the area. If they see the Bryde’s whales they should be at least 100 meters away from them and turn off the boat engine. Please be quiet if you see Bryde’s whales.” Sathit added.

“Bryde’s whale is a rare marine animal but can be found in the Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park as the area is very plentiful for their food.” Sathit concluded.
