Phuket –
A suspect wanted in Phuket has been arrested in Bangkok for arson and allegedly trying to kill a security guard at a snake farm in Phuket 11 years ago.
The suspect was also allegedly involved with what Thai media has labeled as an infamous Chinese mafia boss, ‘Tuhao’.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) told the Phuket Express on Wednesday (January 25th) that they have arrested Mr. Surachai, 42, in the Dusit district. Surachai had a warrant issued for his arrest by the Phuket Provincial Court for intention to kill by arson. Surachai has been taken back to the Chalong Police Station in Phuket for further legal action. He has denied all charges.
On April 23rd, 2012, three suspects burnt a snake garden at a company in Phuket. They attacked a security guard identified only as Mr. Anuchit who sustained severe injuries and is now disabled . Two suspects were arrested before they admitted that they were allegedly hired by Mr. Chaiyanat Kornchayanant or ‘Tuhao’ and his wife.
