Eighteen Gamblers Arrested at Gambling Dens in Famous Chalong Temple Fair

Eighteen gamblers were arrested at gambling dens in the famous Chalong Temple Fair.

The annual Chalong Temple fair has returned which is being held from January 21st to January 27th, 2023.

The Region 8 Police told the Phuket Express that the raid at 3:30 A.M. this early morning (January 26th) was held at the Chalong Temple Fair in Chalong.

Most of the gamblers are sellers in the fair who joined in the gambling dens after the fair finished. They were found joining in popular local gambling games called ‘High-Low’, and ‘Rummy’.

Eighteen gamblers who were 15 men and three women were taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges with joining in illegal gambling.
