Phuket to Hold Annual Heroines’ Festival

Phuket –

The annual Heroines’ Festival will be held in March this year in Thalang.

The Phuket Vice Governor Amnuay Pinsuwan told the Phuket Express that this year the festival will be held from March 13th to March 15th, 2023 at the Thalang Historical Park in Thep Krasattri.

The festival is aimed at promoting tourism by presenting the local way of life and history of Thalang, Phuket. At the same time it is to support new generations to preserve tradition and culture. There will be many activities such as traditional light and sound performances, the selling of various products and local food from Phuket and a lot more.

The key moment of the event is the historical performance of the Thao Thep Krasattri and the Thao Si Soonthorn which will be held to honor the goodness of the two heroines and the ancestors of Thalang who fought and sacrificed themselves with bravery for the protection of the land on which many still reside peacefully today.
