Phuket generated at least 2.6 billion baht on Chinese New Year, says Tourism Authority

More than 158,000 Thais and foreigners visited Phuket for the Chinese New Year Festival which generated at least 2.6 billion baht, said the TAT authority.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office director Nanthasiri Ronnasiri told the Phuket Express that during the Chinese New Year Festival from January 21st to January 22nd, 2023, there were 158,414 visitors to Phuket which generated at least 2.6 billion baht.

There were in total 121 international flights from 40 airlines which carried 24,809 passengers while in total 121 domestic flights carried 17,155 passengers.
