Fourteen People Arrested in Phuket Gambling Raid at Nightclub in Phuket Old Town

Fourteen people were arrested at a gambling den in a nightclub in Phuket Old Town.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that after midnight (January 19th) today a team from the Phuket City Police raided a gambling den on the third floor of a night club near the Surin Circle (known as Fountain Circle) on Rassada Road in Talad Yai in Phuket Old Town.

The arrest came after police received a tip-off that there was a gambling den inside the nightclub. Fourteen gamblers have been arrested with gambling items seized including poker cards.

They were taken to the Phuket City Police Station. One of them is facing charges for operating illegal gambling. The others are facing charges with joining in illegal gambling. They all admitted to the charges.
