Hong Kong Driver Crashes her Sedan into Phuket Somtam Vendor

Phuket –

A Hong Kong driver crashed her sedan into a Somtam vendor on a roadside in Koh Kaew.

The Phuket City Police were notified of the accident yesterday afternoon (January 10th) on the Thep Kassattri Road Northbound lane in Koh Kaew.

Police and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged sedan, motorbike sidecar, and two motorbikes. Food was found scattered across the roadside. No injuries were reported.

The sedan driver, Miss Chung Nga Lee, 27, Hong Kong national, told police that she lost control of the vehicle but didn’t explain exactly how.

CCTV footage shows that the sedan crashed into the Somtam vendor motorbike sidecar and two other motorbikes nearby. Mrs. Ladda Chuaysang, 42, the Somtam vendor and Mr. Sayan Seesai, 54, a customer who was waiting for his Somtam, had luckily escaped from injury.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express Miss Lee is facing charges of reckless driving causing damages.
