Beach Vendors Caught With 49 Floating Lanterns in Phuket

Four beach vendors were caught with 49 floating lanterns on Bang Tao Beach in Thalang.

The Thalang District Chief Mr. Bancha Tanooin told the Phuket Express that District officers were patrolling on the Bang Tao Beach in Cherng Talay last night, January 9th.

Four beach vendors were found with 49 floating lanterns at the beach. They were taken to the Thalang District Office with 49 floating lanterns seized.

Mr. Bancha told the Phuket Express all four vendors signed an agreement to promise not to sell floating lanterns again.

If they were found selling floating lanterns again, legal action will be taken against them.
