Phuket Generated 6.6 Billion Baht During the New Year Festival

Phuket has generated at least 6.6 billion baht during the New Year festival, according to relevant officials.

The director of the Phuket Tourism Authority of Thailand (Phuket TAT), Ms. Nathasiri Ronnasiri, told the Phuket Express that from December 30th to January 2nd, Phuket generated at least about 6.6 billion baht.

From December 30th to January 2nd, 200 international flights from 38 airlines arrived in Phuket (50 flights per day) which carried 43,075 passengers (10,769 passengers per day).

Meanwhile, there were 247 domestic flights from six airlines (61 flights per day) with 36,047 passengers (9,012 passengers per day).

Now, focus begins on tourists who had visited for the New Year’s festival to begin to return home.
