Two More Missing Thai Navy Sailors Found Deceased, Eight Still Missing, Death Toll Rises to 21

Prachuap Khiri Khan –

Two more bodies of navy officers who had gone missing were found. Eight of them are still missing and the death toll rose to 21.

Our first previous story:

A Royal Thai Navy ship capsized off of the Bang Saphan district. 73 crew members have been rescued while approximately 33 are still in the sea.

Now for the update:

The Royal Thai Navy has announced this morning (December 27th) at 11:30 A.M. they found two more bodies at Sak Island in Chumphon. Their bodies are now being examined for positive identification.

This brings the total death toll to 21, while 8 are still missing. 18 of the 21 are positively identified as crewmen of the HTMS Sukhothai. Search and rescue efforts are underway.
