A British tourist has sustained severe injuries after he fell down from a waterfall on the Samui Island.
The Samui District Chief Mr. Chayaphon Intarasupa told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident over the past weekend at the Na Mueang 2 Waterfall.
More than 30 officials and rescue workers arrived at the steep waterfall. It took more than four hours to pull the tourist up before taking him to a local hospital.
The tourist was identified by authorities as Mr. Joshua Peter Kohler, 20, British national. He went to the waterfall with 7 other friends. They were walking to the top of the waterfall which is very high and steep. Signs are being placed to warn tourists not to go up to this area.
