His Royal Majesty the King of Thailand and Her Royal Majesty the Queen test positive for COVID-19, very mild symptoms

The Bureau of the Royal Household announced this afternoon (December 17th) stating that His Royal Majesty the King and Her Royal Majesty the Queen have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19.

The announcement states that doctors provided regular COVID-19 screening for their Majesties last night (December 16th) at 11:30 P.M.. They have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19.

They both have very mild symptoms and are not in serious condition. Doctors have provided medical treatments. Doctors have asked their Majesties to refrain from royal duties during this time.
