Phang Nga-

More leatherback turtle eggs were found on the same beach as a previous recent find in Takua Thung this month.

Our previous story:

In total, 118 leatherback sea turtle eggs were found on a beach in Phang Nga, north of Phuket.

Officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that yesterday (November 30th) they found more leatherback egg nests on the same Bang Khwan Beach in Kok Kloi sub-district. It is about 500 meters from a previously found nest.

The eggs have been relocated to a safe area near the previous nest. The Phuket Express notes that DMCR officials did not reveal how many eggs were in the nest.
