Two people die after two motorbike sidecars collide with pickup truck in Thalang

Thalang –

Two people were pronounced dead after two motorbike sidecars collided with a pickup truck in Thalang.

The Thalang Police were notified of the accident this afternoon (November 30th) on the Mueang Mai – Pa Khlok Road in Thep Kasattri.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a damaged pickup truck just off the road. Nearby, they found two damaged motorbike sidecars.

One of the motorbike sidecar riders, Mr. Somyos Sawasdee, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorbike sidecar rider, Mr. Anuwat Aramraksaeree, was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Ms. Tossawan Boonyanit, 33, the pickup truck driver, told the Phuket Express she had evidence of the entire incident due to a dash cam in her vehicle. According to her, one of the motorbike sidecars in the opposite lane was trying to overtake the other motorbike sidecar before colliding with each other and her pickup truck. She stated her dashcam footage proved she was not responsible for the accident.

Police are continuing their investigation and have not drawn any conclusions yet, but will be reviewing the dash cam footage from Ms. Tossawan.
