Cars now allowed to go up damaged Patong hill

Patong –

Small cars are now allowed to go up the damaged Patong hill.

The Kathu District Chief Siwat Rawangkun told the Phuket Express the following “Since afternoon today (November 30th) small cars (sedans, pickup trucks, minivans) are now allowed to go up the damaged Patong Hill on Phra Baramee Road (4029) on the Kathu – Patong lane. So, this means both lanes are now allowing motorbikes and cars.”

“However, larger vehicles (trucks) are not allowed for now. If it is raining and causing a risk for landslides our equipment will send signals to warn us and we will consider passage again for road users safety.”
