Suspect robs minimart at knifepoint in Thalang

Thalang –

Police are hunting for a suspect who robbed at knifepoint a mini-mart in Thalang.

The Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident at 5:50 P.M. yesterday (November 24th) at a mini-mart in Baan Liphon in the Sri Soonthorn sub-district.

CCTV footage shows the suspect came into the mini-mart before walking around like a normal customer. He came back to the cashier where a female staffer, Mrs. Kanyapat Chalothorn, 55, was standing there.

He used a knife to point at Mrs. Kanyapat while shouting. He took some money from the till machine which later in a count revealed was about 1,500 baht.

The suspect then sped away on a motorbike. Police are still tracking down the suspect.
