Surat Thani:

The body of a missing French man was found after he had gone missing for five days.

Our previous story:

A French man has gone missing from a resort in Surat Thani since Saturday (November 12th.) The owner of the resort reported to police on November 15th that the French man did not check out on November 14th.

The search has continued since November 15th by the Panom District Chief, the Phanom Police, Khao Sok National Park officers and rescue workers.

The Phanom District Chief Suchao Tumosic told the Phuket Express that the French Embassy was contacted by his mother that her son could not be contacted since November 12th.

Locals told The Phuket Express at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday (November 12th.) that Mr. Tizzlano, aged around 34, went up on the Nang Phanthurat Mountain with his drone to take photos and videos.

At 4:00 P.M. (November 12th) he asked locals to find his drone which had fallen down in the forest. He wanted to hire them for 2,000 baht. Locals refused as it was getting too dark and warned Mr. Tizzlano that the jungle was dangerous at night and to return the next day.

At 10:00 P.M. yesterday (November 16th) locals heard sounds like knocking on wood from the base of the Nang Phanthurat Mountain.

This morning, (November 17th), an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was set up at the Khao Sok National Park by the Surat Thani Governor Mr. Wichawut Jintoe.

Officers found a signal from Mr. Tizzlano’s mobile phone. They found that the mobile phone had 20 percent battery left. The phone signal GPS was moving near the base of the hill. They believed at the time that Mr.Tizzlano was still walking to find the way out of the forest. More than one hundred people in the search team had continued the search today.

At 12:30 P.M. today his body was tragically found stuck on a cliff. His body was taken out from the forest to a nearby hospital for the exact cause of death. The search team believed that Mr. Tizzlano might fell down from a cliff.

TPN media gives its condolences to his family and friends.
