UPDATE: Suspect charged with murder and theft after killing innocent man near Phuket shopping mall

A suspect is facing charges of murder and theft after he said he stabbed the wrong person near a shopping mall in Phuket Town.

The suspect says he stabbed and killed the wrong person by accident by a shopping mall in Phuket.

The Phuket City Police Chief Colonel Sarawut Chooprasoot told the Phuket Express, “The suspect, Mr. Pan, 35, a graphic designer, is facing charges with planning and intending to kill and rob others. He was denied bail by police and is also being denied bail in the court.”

Mr. Pan said he was involved in a dispute with an unidentified third party when he stabbed and killed who was now believed to be an innocent person not involved in the feud in front of a popular Phuket shopping mall. Phuket City police are also investigating the feud and what it involved as well as who the intended victim of Pan’s was.

Mr. Pan claimed he stabbed and killed the wrong person as he looked similar to his intended victim.
