Loy Krathong festival at Saphan Hin, Phuket is underway

The Loy Krathong festival and OTOP event at Saphan Hin in Phuket Town is underway.

The festival officially opened last night (November 2nd) and was led by the Phuket Vice Governor Amnuay Pitsuwan and the President of OTOP Traders Surat Thani from the Community Development Department Mrs. Pattree Kongkaew.

Mrs. Pattree told The Phuket Express, “We have continued to develop the OTOP (One Tambol One Product) project. Our target is to boost the local economy. The OTOP event is in the Loy Krathong Festival at Saphan Hin this year from October 30th to November 8th. Many OTOP from around Thailand are presented at the festival with concerts and great food as well.”

Loy Krathong falls on Tuesday, November 8th, also a lunar eclipse.
