The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified on Sunday (October 30th) in the morning that a sedan has been stolen. They arrived at the house in the housing estate in Wichit to find Mrs. Sopawan who is the sedan’s owner.

She said she parked the sedan near her house before finding out in the morning that the sedan disappeared.

Police checked CCTV footage nearby and they found the suspect Mr. Somsak, 54, at 5.24 P.M.. He was arrested on Sakdidet Road in Wichit.

He said he is Mrs. Sopawan’s ex-boyfriend and has a spare car key. He intended to take her sedan just to tease her and play a practical joke.

However, Wichit police were in no laughing mood. Somsak was taken to the Wichit Police Station to face charges of night theft.
