Flash floods hits Phuket last night after a short period of heavy rain causing chaos and damage.

The rain hit many parts of Phuket just a short period of time before midnight (October 30th) including in Phuket Town.

Many roads and residential areas such as in Phuket Old Town, Bang Tao, Cherng Talay, Kalim (Patong), Wichit (Wichit Songkram Road in front of Macro store) Koh Kaew, Rassada (Samkong), and Kamala were flooded. Water level decreased over several hours.

There were some still road users on roads on motorbikes unable to pass. Residents in Kamala are suffering from flash floods coming from mountains again. Many residents who lived in houses and apartments were unable to move their cars before the flood.
