Patong Hill road permanent repair works will take 45 days before cars will be allowed to pass.

A road leading to the Patong Hill in Phuket has started to collapse after a landslide.
Motorbikes are now allowed to pass on the partially collapsed Patong Hill Road.
A soil safety device with warning signals has been installed at the damaged Patong Hill.
Now for the update:
The Kathu Mayor Mr. Chaianan Sutthikun told the Phuket Express, “The repair works will take about 45 days. This will be a permanent road repair. The repair budget is about 20 million baht.”
“After the road is fixed, cars will be allowed to pass on the area. Right now pedestrians and motorbikes can pass.”
Meanwhile a local road shortcut from Chalong to Patong will be renovated for road users.
Kathu officials are surveying another natural route from Kathu to Patong.
