Kathu Mayor’s minivan and foreign driver collide in car accident, no injuries

The Kathu Mayor, who was a passenger, and an unidentified foreign driver have escaped injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Kathu.

The Kathu Police were notified of the accident at 1:50 P.M. this afternoon (October 28th) near a petrol station in Kathu. They arrived at the scene to find a damaged black minivan and a damaged white car on the road. No injuries were reported.

The Kathu Mayor, Mr. Chaianan Sutthikun, who was a passenger in the black minivan and the foreign driver in the white car had both escaped injuries.

It was not immediately clear what the circumstances were behind the accident or who was at fault. The identity of both drivers were withheld by Kathu police and both parties were reportedly working with each other over the damages and liability.
