Region 8 Police based in Phuket seized 260 guns in 15 days

Phuket –

The Region 8 Police based in Phuket have seized 260 guns in 15 days.

The Region 8 commander Lieutenant General Surapong Thanomjit told the Phuket Express about the raid earlier this week (October 25th). From October 10th to October 24th which is in total 15 days they have seized 260 guns with 1,702 bullets from 363 cases.

“Firearms have been involved in many crimes which are leading to the loss of property and lives. We are continuing to crack down on these firearms to prevent crimes. Our targets have been involved in selling these illegal firearms via online channels too,” Lieutenant General Surapong added.

The Phuket Express noted the Region 8 Police covers seven provinces in the upper southern area including Phuket.
