Foreign man rescued after struggling while diving off Phuket

Phuket –

An unidentified foreign man has been rescued after suffering from decompression sickness while he was diving near an island in Chalong.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident yesterday (October 26th). The foreign man was on a boat near the Tue Island, east of the Racha Island.

Emergency responders went into the boat to help the 53-year-old foreign man who is a diving trainer. He told emergency responders that he had just recovered and starting diving again after receiving a heart operation. He was taken back to the Chalong and headed to a nearby hospital.
