Students walk down from Patong Hill on first day of schools reopening

Many students walked down from the Patong Hill to schools on the first day of school reopening.

A road leading to the Patong Hill in Phuket has started to collapse after a landslide.

A road leading to the Patong Hill from Kathu in Phuket is now being temporarily closed after it has started to collapse from a landslide.

Pedestrian hours on parts of the collapsed Patong Hill are now being extended from 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M..

Now for the update:

This morning (October 25th) many students walked down from the Patong Hill heading to schools. Some of them were carrying large school bags. Meanwhile some parents carried their children who are still too young to walk on the hill.

Local authorities have assisted people who walked over the hill with free transportation on both ends. Meanwhile, lots of motorbikes have been parked on both ends.
