Kathu officials are surveying another natural route from Kathu to Patong.

A road leading to the Patong Hill in Phuket has started to collapse after a landslide.

A road leading to the Patong Hill from Kathu in Phuket is now being temporarily closed after it has started to collapse from a landslide.

A local road shortcut from Chalong to Patong will be renovated for road users.

Now for the update:

Yesterday (October 24th) Kathu officials led by the Kathu District Chief Mr. Siwat Rawangkun and the Patong Deputy Mayor Mr. Kittisan Kuru surveyed another natural route from Kathu to Patong.

Mr. Siwat told the Phuket Express, “The route is near a Go-kart speedway near an elephant camp before Kwan Yang.”

The surveying is aimed to find another way for temporary transportation while part of the main road from Kathu to Patong Hill (Phra Baramee Road Road No. 4029) is temporarily closed,” Mr. Siwat added.
