Patong, Phuket –

The first cruise liner has arrived in Patong, Phuket after the Covid -19 situation has been relieved.

A team of Phuket officials led by the Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew and the Phuket Tourism Authority of Thailand (Phuket TAT) director Ms. Natasiri Ronnasiri this morning (October 24th) welcomed tourists who have arrived in Patong from the ‘SPECTRUM OF THE SEA’ cruise liner.

Ms. Nantasiri told the Phuket Express, “The SPECTRUM OF THE SEA has 18 levels with 2,137 rooms, restaurants, an amusement park, pools, fitness, entertainment services, and more.”

“There are 4,594 tourists on the cruise liner from 55 nations. Most of them are from Singapore, Malaysia, India, the Philippines, and Indonesia.”

“Eight hundred of them visited Patong and Phuket for a one day trip. This is good for Phuket tourism as all of them are high-spending tourists.”

“In 2019 there were 154 cruise liners arriving in Phuket with a total of 485,598 tourists.” Ms. Nantasiri concluded.
