Another landslide blocks smaller detour route from Patong to Kamala

Kamala, Phuket –

Another landslide has brought down a building roof and blocked a whole smaller detour route from Patong to Kamala which has caused some trouble.

Landslides on a main road in Kamala have caused traffic headaches as it is being used as one of the detour routes from Patong. Motorists are directed to use nearby smaller and steep detour roads.

Now for the update:

This afternoon (October 20th) the Kamala Police have reported another landslide on a small detour route from Layi – Patong in Kamala. The landslide has brought down a building roof which blocked the whole road.

At 2:00 P.M. only one small detour route is available. Police have managed to let motorists who are entering Patong pass the road on a one-way lane. Police reports that this route has started to be broken as well. Motorists are urging to use the other main detour route in Karon instead.

At 3:50 P.M. the main detour route in Kamala has been opened for motorists who are leaving Patong for a one-way lane.
