Heavy rain causes landslides in Kamala, Patong, and Kathu

Phuket –

Heavy rain for many hours has caused landslides in Kamala, Patong, and Kathu which also brought down power poles.

Our previous story:

Heavy rain across Phuket all night and until this morning caused flooding in many areas.

The landslides were found this morning (October 16th) on the Kathu – Na Koh Road in Kathu, at the entrance of the Giant Hill (Khao Yak) in Kamala, and on Patong hill. Traffic was blocked by soil and large rocks which came down from nearby hills.

The vicinity of the landslides also brought down some power poles. No injuries were reported. Relevant authorities are assisting in the area.
